Edge Tech is working exclusively with a Series-A funded Conversational AI vendor who have been recognised by Gartner as a ‘Cool Vendor’ which are scaling at a rapid rate.

 

Due to their success and continued expansion globally, they are looking for a Director of Business Development to join their growing high-performing marketing department in the US.

 

With a client list that includes big names such as Starling and Metro Bank, you'll be joining a credible player in the AI space their mission is to help businesses scale by harnessing the power of AI in business conversations. As the Director of Business Development, you will develop new/existing lines of business and innovative approaches to inspire businesses to use our client’s Conversational AI platform. You will have strong connections within the contact centre or conversational AI industry and will be able to combine market insights with product knowledge to create compelling story that addresses customer needs and drives business objectives.

 

You’ll have a track record of strong revenue growth, logo growth, and partnership deals is required and will be responsible for helping build the GTM strategy and create demand generation campaigns. You will also proactively generate business opportunities through continual communication with prospects and clients via cold calls, warm calls, strategic emails, LinkedIn, networking, and social media outreach 

 

Required Skills & Experience

 

  • 10+ years of sales or business development in the contact centre, CCaaS or Conversational AI space
  • Expert level knowledge in B2B new business sales
  • Experience with SaaS products, AI products, especially conversational AI products is a huge advantage in this role
  • Experience in storytelling and synthesizing product features and customer needs to into stories
  • Solution-based selling to CXO, senior management and director-level individuals
  • Exceptional negotiating skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment
